Retail Therapy
Hey folks! Great to see you stopping by!
It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve posted anything. I haven’t been working on any new projects. In fact, I went on vacation! One week in Atlanta and one week in Orlando at Disney World.
I was very excited about the shopping opportunities I might have south of the border, but it turned out there was little shopping to be had. We stayed in Midtown Atlanta, and there was nothing in the nearby area at all except for hotels and conference centers, so there was no shopping there.
Once we arrived in Orlando, we had reserved one day of our stay for shopping. I managed to make it to Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Tuesday Mornings.
I was really on the lookout for punches. Besides being addicted to Nesties, I’m a punch junkie. One can never have too many right? I even buy the ones I don’t like because you never know when it might come in handy LOL
So, all I have for you today is show and tell.
The only thing I picked up at Tuesday Mornings was the portable OTT lamp. I figured that’d come in handy for crops and for $30, I figured it was a bargain. When I visited Michaels I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a nice selection of Martha Stewart punches and punch sets AND they were all 20% off. Now, given the fact that the Canadian dollar is stronger, I was already ahead of the game. Add to that,Michaels products, and just about any craft store prices are approximately 40% cheaper than in Canada. So, I bought up what I could.
The remainder of my purchases consisted of embellishments that I can’t find here plus I found this great stencil at Hobby Lobby. I tried stenciling on my last project and discovered that I really liked the end result, so now I’m always on the lookout for them.
On Sunday I broke a tooth and ended up having it fixed the next day. My dentist had a heck of a time freezing that tooth to fix it and it took an hour and a half. I hate the dentist, I have a deep and abiding fear of them. I was quite traumatized by the whole affair.
So, what does one do when they’re traumatized? They go shopping of course! LOL
I took myself off to my most ever favourite local LSS out in Stonewall for more retail therapy. I love Allison’s store and Allison herself is just awesome! Her store is quite tiny, but she knows how to fill it AND she’s current! She knows I just come to roll around in the Nesties LOL![]()
You’ll have to pardon Zoe in the picture. I don’t know what it is, but she LOVES my photo box! I moved her 4 times before I gave up and just staged around her LOL
I picked up 4 new Nestie sets: Elegant Posts, Floral Doily Accents, Fleur De Lis Accents and Fleur De Lis Motifs. Can we say Happy Dance?!
I also picked up another MS punch around the border set and an EK Success border punch.
Check out this beautiful rose ribbon I found there. I just love the soft colour and delicate look of it. So did Zoe. I should have told here they weren’t real and she needn’t sniff them LOL
Allison has a whole collection of pretty lacey ribbons, and you can see a couple more that I couldn’t resist. Now I just need to think up a project to showcase them on.![]()
This beautiful folder comes from Couture creations. I totally can’t wait to use it! The best part about these folders is they’re big!
No more trimming your card front down to fit the folder! It’s brilliant I tell ya, just brilliant! I have often wished for just this. I’m so excited!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!! I hope your day/afternoon/evening is wonderful!

Looks like you did quite well on your trip… WTG and glad your home..and Zoe has given your shopping much approval…LOL…great stuff…tfs
Fun! I was at Allison”s last week and bought a few treasures too. Apparently Zoe likes to roll around in Nesties as much as you do.
Neat stuff! That rose ribbon is amazing, Zoe looks great in it. Sorry about your tooth. Ouchie!
