Pinwheel Box Tutorial

I have had several requests for a tutorial for my Pinwheel Box.  This box was inspired by the explosion box.  I wanted something that was similar yet unique.

Supplies:

  • Adhesives
  • Scoreboard
  • Cutter
  • Embellishments
  • Stamps (images/sentiments)

Cut List: 

Pink:

  • Box: (1) 12″ x 12″
  • Pinwheel panel bottom layer: (4) 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Pinwheel panel top layer: (4) 3 5/8″ x 3 5/8″
  • Lid: (1) 8 1/4″ x 8 1/4″

 Brown:

  • Pinwheel panels: (4) 4″ x 6″
  • Box outside cover panels: (4) 4″ x 4″
  • Box outside sentiment layers: (4) 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Pinwheel panel middle layer: (4) 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
  • Lid side embellishment layer: (4) 1 1/4″ x 4 3/4″

    What a wonderful idea. I am in the process of making explosion boxes for my great neice and nefew. If I had seen this I would have made it instead. I like the idea that I can have the pictures and a box to hold baby keepsakes. Thanks for sharing.

    Love the videos! And can I just tell you how jealous I am of your craft room! I usually have to grab everything I’m going to use that’s stacked up in a corner of my bedroom, and bring it out to the living room and break my back leaning over the coffee table. Lol.
